He has been a Dentist in Kelowna since 1979 where he first established his practice. Dr. Smith is certified by the National Dental Examining Board of Canada and is licensed by the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia. He has served the Kelowna General Hospital as a past Chief of Dentistry for seven years. He is a past president of the Kelowna Dental Society and former Chairman of the Insurer Relations Committee and Fee Guide Committee for the British Columbia Dental Association as well as a representative of the Economics Committee.
Dr. Smith attends regular continuing education courses yearly to keep current, advance and excel at all aspects of dentistry. Although prevention is the emphasis in his office, he particularly enjoys the cosmetic aspects of dentistry including tooth whitening, ceramics and porcelain, white restorations and veneers, as well as Implants and the exciting new “Invisalign for Orthodontics”. Dr. Smith is presently a “PREFERRED PROVIDER” for Invisalign.
